Lost among all the hubbub of media day was the fact that Etan Thomas wasn't there because he had to attend to a "personal matter."  Well it looks like we know what that personal matter was.  Dave Johnson has been live-blogging the Wizards at training camp and this is what he found out:

Johnson later reported that they will have to do more tests before they know his status.  Let's hope this is nothing serious.
